As the year progresses and the first-month ends, love fills the air, and February arrives. While the Indian festivals still are in the queue, one of the most anticipated days for lovers everywhere is valentine’s day. Although it is still quite far away, the preparations do take time (at least a couple of days). We don’t mean to pressurize you into buying or making just about anything for your partner or anyone you love, but we are just here in advance to inform you about the different valentine’s day gifts you could choose.

You can always take as much time as you want to decide on the gift you to present to your partner.

It’s Association with Love

Everyone knows that the ‘day of love’ is valentine’s day. A young student in high school knows everything about it, and even an old couple celebrating their 50th or even 70th year together knows about it. How exactly did valentine’s day come to be associated with love is still unknown to many individuals? So, here’s a brief for you about this beautiful day and a chance to use this story to impress your partner.

Originally, St Valentine’s Day was an annual celebration of romantic love, friendship, and admiration. Every year on 14th February, people send gifts, cards, and bouquets to their loved ones and spend time with them. The day is celebrated in Saint Valentine’s honor, a Catholic priest who believed in the power of love to overcome hatred. He carried out secret marriages between soldiers and their lovers, which the then Emperor banned. Even in imprisonment, Saint Valentine cared for his fellow inmates and jailer’s blind daughter, and the day of his demise (14th February) is celebrated as the day of love.

A mix of emotions makes this story a great read, and you can always add things from your side to spice up the story-telling experience and win over your partner’s heart with a moving story.

Popular Gifts for Valentine's Day

Perfume and bags: If accessories bring shine to your partner’s eyes, go for shoulder bags and the latest branded perfume. They make up for a good combination within a budget range of 5k to 10k. We also suggest that if your budget is quite low, pick one (either a bag or a perfume) based on your lover’s interest and gift her that present. Additionally, a chocolate box and special v-day flowers are always a great delight.

Jewellery: If this is your first year of marriage, or you’re invested in picking a valuable gift, nothing can top precious jewellery designs. Whether gold, diamond, gemstones, or platinum, a simple heart-shaped pendant from a special valentine's day jewellery edition that you find can be the gift to your partner and will bring the brightest smile to her face.

Dresses: Girls love clothes; some like branded, while others are happy with a simple top and jeans. Pick your pick! And don’t forget to go for her favorite colour while you’re at it.

Handwritten letters: Old school love might be long gone, but the time is always right to bring it back. Bring your pen and colored paper and write something for her. Move beyond texting and use all your creativity to pen down a handwritten letter for your lover. Alongside, present her with a red rose and a dinner invitation for the night.

Photo frames: It might not seem romantic, but it can be made romantic. Pick a cute photo frame and install a gorgeous picture of you two. Write a few lines for her at the back of the picture and decorate it with a few lights at the border. Now, how can this not be a romantic gift?
